The Jamie Jarboe Foundation Cabin

It was a dream of Jamie and Melissa's to have a cabin in beautiful northern Minnesota to be able to run away for vacation whenever they had time. Unfortunately Jamie never made it to this cabin nestled on 10 acres of land near Knife Lake in Mora, MN. Instead Melissa decided to purchase this cabin & donate this cabin to Military families for their family vacations at no charge. No purple hearts required.

JJF Car

SSG Jarboe was an avid car fan, to carry on his memory Mrs. Jarboe purchased & donated a Dodge Challenger to the Foundation in honor of her husband. She welcomed all Gold Star Families to submit their fallen loved ones as well. Currently the car has over 400 names listed of Military Heroes killed in actions or on active duty from WWII-Present day.

Faces of Freedom

This project began with SSG Jarboe's 3 pairs of boots from his previous deployments, Melissa searched for an idea to honor the Military. She ran across a tribute to fallen heroes with photos of service members on boots which lined the streets. "We don't want to wait until a service member is wounded or killed in action, we want to honor our Military before that and honor the day in & day out sacrifice they make by being away from their family and serving our country." We decided to honor our active duty, reservists, retired, wounded and fallen Military heroes for this project, everyone matters!
